Australian results Tokyo Paralympic Games Day 1: Aussies claim six gold medals on opening day to lead medal count image

Australia's swimmers and cyclists combined to deliver six gold medals and claim top spot on the medal count on Day 1 of the Tokyo Paralympic Games.

Willam Martin, Lakeisha Patterson, Rowan Crothers and Ben Popham all won gold, while four other swimmers won medals on a bumper opening day at the pool.

At the veledrome, Paige Greco and Emily Petricola each tasted victory to complete a golden day for the Aussies.
