Emma McKeon has won gold and Cate Campbell has claimed bronze in the women's 100m freestyle final as the track and field action got uderway on day 7 in Tokyo.
The Matildas won a pulsating clash against Great Britain while the Kookaburras, Opals, Aussie Stingers and Women's Rugby 7s were also all in action on Friday.
Ash Barty and John Peers will play for the bronze medal after going down to the Russian Olympic Committee in the semifinals of the mixed-doubles.
Saya Sakakibara and Lauren Reynolds featured in the semifinals of the women's BMX, with the latter making the final and the former unfortunately involved in a scary crash.
The men's and women's Eight crews also contested finals at the rowing regatta but finished outside of the medals.
