How many medals did Australia win in the athletics at Tokyo Olympics?

Of the 52 competitors for Australia at Tokyo 2020 in the athletics, three went home with medals.

Nicola McDermott won the silver medal in the women's high jump, where she broke the Oceania record at 2.02m and was only narrowly beaten by the ROC's Mariya Lasitskene; she will once again be competing at the 2024 games, this time under her married name Nicola Olyslagers.

The other two medals were bronze, as Ashley Moloney became the first Australian to win a medal at a decathlon event, and Kelsey-Lee Barber won for her efforts in the javelin, with a best distance of 64.56m, her best for the season.
