Dallas Stars offices were locked down, then evacuated and guarded by armed police on Friday during the hunt for robbery suspects.
The offices are in Frisco, Texas, along with the Stars' practice rink. Police told The Dallas Morning News they believed suspects in a jewelry heist were hiding in the facility's parking garage.
It was not known how many suspects police were seeking.
According to a Dallas TV station:
Police said just before noon [ET] Friday that they are looking for multiple people who robbed a jewelry store and then left in a getaway car. Further details about the robbery or getaway vehicle have not been confirmed.
Three Stars players were in the building when police arrived. The Morning News identified them as Jamie Benn, Jason Demers and Ales Hemsky. Benn was receiving treatment following hip surgery.
