Week 7 Fantasy Sleepers: Jamaal Williams, Jimmy Garoppolo worth starting image

Our Week 7 sleepers article will not be the only place you hear good things about the 49ers and Bills' matchups this week. San Francisco travels to D.C. to take on the Redskins, and that's why you see Jimmy Garoppolo's lovely face at the top of this article. In case you haven't heard, the 49ers are still undefeated and just handled the Rams. Jimmy G should have a field day with the 'Skins, and he's joined by Tevin Coleman as Week 7 fantasy football sleepers.

Buffalo hosts the winless Dolphins, the only team beaten thus far by the Redskins. There aren't a ton of huge names on the Bills -- even QB Josh Allen was dropped in a lot of leagues due to a potential concussion absence heading into a bye week. But he's back, and the Bills should put up a ton of points against Miami. That should bode well for WR sleeper Duke Williams, too, who's reviving his career after a dismissal from Auburn and time starring in the CFL. And it will be the second straight week an old running back handles Miami, this time being Frank Gore.

WEEK 7 NON-PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

There's a third ugly game this week -- Cardinals @ Giants. That's represented here, too, with Christian Kirk and the Cardinals' D/ST. As the season goes on, we've gotten the sense for what matchups are good ones, and on both sides of the ball in that game, there are juicy fantasy possibilities.

We're just gonna ignore our Week 6 sleeper picks. Let's just say we didn't nail too many. When Aaron Rodgers' 280 and two touchdowns qualifies as maybe the biggest win, that's when you know it was a rough week. Gardner Minshew was terrible. Our investment in the Dolphins-Redskins game didn't pay off, as those teams were just too bad to make anything really great happen. So, almost by default, the picks should do better this week. After all, we were on a decent streak before Week 6. Let's start a new one.

Week 7 Fantasy Sleepers: Running backs

Tevin Coleman, 49ers @ Redskins (Billy Heyen). Coleman isn't necessarily a sleeper, but he's probably on the border of some starting lineups. The Redskins have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points per game (FPPG) to running backs, so Coleman should fall on the start side of the coin this week.

Frank Gore, Bills vs. Dolphins (Vinnie Iyer). You saw what fellow ancient future Hall-of-Famer Adrian Peterson did against Miami, right?

Jamaal Williams, Packers vs. Raiders (Matt Lutovsky). Williams has had at least 12 touches in each of his past three full games, and he easily outshined backfield-mate Aaron Jones last week. Williams is likely to see more snaps because of his blocking and pass-catching skills, and that should translate to solid numbers against an average Raiders defense.

Week 7 Fantasy Football Sleepers: Quarterbacks

Josh Allen, Bills vs. Dolphins (Heyen). Allen ended the weekend only owned in 50 percent of leagues, but he should be starting in the majority of fantasy leagues in Week 7 against the winless Dolphins. It wouldn't be shocking for him to end up with four total TDs on Sunday.

Daniel Jones, Giants vs. Cardinals (Iyer). It may not be pretty with some more turnovers, but he will likely need to throw often with Arizona potentially making this a shootout with Kyler Murray doing work again.

Jimmy Garoppolo, 49ers @ Redskins (Lutovsky). Garoppolo has only had one big game this year, but with the San Francisco offense finding its groove, it's only a matter of time before he starts turning in consistently solid performances. The Redskins give up just a shade under 20 FPPG to quarterbacks, to this is a good spot for Garoppolo to air it out more.

Week 7 Fantasy Football Sleepers: Wide receivers

Christian Kirk, Cardinals @ Giants (Heyen). Kirk should be back and healthy to shred a Giants' pass defense that's one of the worst in the league. Expect about 10 targets, eight catches and a good chance to score.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Packers vs. Raiders (Iyer). Davante Adams (toe) and Geronimo Allison (head, chest) might be shelved, and even though the new darling is Allen Lazard, MVS still would be their No. 1 in that scenario against a shaky secondary.

Duke Williams, Bills vs. Dolphins (Lutovsky). Williams played just two snaps fewer than John Brown in Buffalo's last game, and he hauled in all four of his targets for 29 yards and a score. The 6-3, 225-pound receiver has the makings of an intimidating red-zone threat, and he can also do work on the outside. Against the Dolphins, who allow 25 FPPG to WRs, he could pay off with a few big plays.

Week 7 Fantasy Football Sleepers: Tight ends

Jack Doyle, Colts vs. Texans (Heyen). Doyle has been playing more than Eric Ebron, and although Ebron has been more effective on a per-play basis, Doyle's time on the field should benefit him in a game that could turn into a shootout against Houston.

Noah Fant, Broncos vs. Chiefs (Iyer). Kansas City is not covering the position well at all of late, and he should get more involved on Thursday night.

Darren Fells, Texans @ Colts (Lutovsky). Fells has posted back-to-back solid performances, including a season-high in catches (6), targets (7), and yards (69) last week. Indianapolis enters this game allowing the third-most FPPG to tight ends, so the 6-7 TE is in a good spot.

Week 7 Fantasy Sleepers: Defenses

Green Bay Packers vs. Raiders (Heyen). The Packers' defense continues to rack up sacks, with Preston and Za'Darius Smith (no relation) ranking in the top five individually on the sacks leader board. The Raiders won't pose much of a threat against the strong pass rush, and Derek Carr is prone to the occasional turnover.

New Orleans Saints @ Bears (Iyer). They can stuff the run and pressure Mitchell Trubisky into mistakes.

Arizona Cardinals @ Giants (Lutovsky). The Giants have at least two turnovers in all but one game this year, and the game in which they didn't, they allowed four sacks and a safety while scoring just 10 points. One way or another, D/STs get points against them, so even the lowly Cardinals can find a way to produce. The return of CB Patrick Peterson doesn't hurt.
