Trevor Lawrence will continue repping the Jaguars threads for the foreseeable future.

Jacksonville signed their former No. 1 pick to a five-year, $275 million contract extension on Thursday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport

Lawrence lead the Jaguars to an AFC South division title in 2022, sending Jacksonville to the playoffs for just the second time since 2007. He's thrown back-to-back 4,000-yard seasons with at least 21 touchdowns and a 65-percent completion rate.

The new deal comes prior to Lawrence's fourth NFL season. Here's the latest on Lawrence's contract extension.

Trevor Lawrence contract details

  • Years: 5
  • Value: $275 million
  • AAV: $55 million

Lawrence signed a five-year, $275 million contract extension with the Jaguars on Thursday, per Rapoport. His deal kicks in during the 2025 season since he still has one year remaining on his rookie contract. He'll get $200 million guaranteed and $142 million at signing.

The former No. 1 overall pick will make $55 million per season from 2025-29. He'll be a free agent in early 2030.

Because this doesn't kick in during the 2024 season, Lawrence isn't considered a top-paid quarterback just yet. He's currently on a four-year, $36.8 million rookie contract, per Spotrac.

Had Lawrence's extension kicked in for the 2024 season, he would be tied with Joe Burrow for the highest-paid quarterback in the NFL. That said, the 2021 No. 1 pick is not listed in the top 10 for the upcoming season.
