Another playoff game, another playoff record. Such is life for Tom Brady.

Brady set a playoff record for passing yards in the first quarter of Sunday’s AFC Championship Game, passing Peyton Manning with a five-yard connection to Julian Edelman. Brady had 6,886 yards through halftime of that game.

He finished last week’s AFC Divisional Game against the Colts with 6,800 yards in his career. Brady entered the AFC Championship Game against the Colts needing 10 yards to break that record.

The record comes a week after he threw his 46th touchdown pass, leapfrogging Hall of Famer Joe Montana.
