The Super Bowl is even bigger than football. While the game dictates the champion of the NFL season, it also mixes the sporting world with pop culture, music and more.
It's no different for Super Bowl 58. The halftime show is the key entry point to the connection between the Super Bowl and the music industry, and in 2024, Usher will take center stage.
Yet while the intermission entertainment typically is the biggest draw for music lovers, that's not necessarily the case this year.
Taylor Swift has been all over NFL headlines for months. Her relationship with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce saw her attend 12 games already this season. Swift's music does not usually coincide with in Usher's R&B artistry, but the two stars do have brief history of performing together. Here is what you need to know about Usher and Swift's previous performance together.

Is Taylor Swift performing at the Super Bowl halftime show?
Usher is headlining his first Super Bowl halftime show at Super Bowl 58.
Swift, on the other hand, is not 100% confirmed to attend the game. She has a concert in Japan the night before for her Eras Tour, although there should be enough time for her to make her way to Las Vegas.
What has been confirmed is that she will not partake in any musical acts at the big game, according to TMZ. She won't perform at any point during the night, including before kickoff or during the halftime show.
Usher would have been open to a reunion with Swift. In an interview in the fall, the eight-time Grammy winner stated that she would be one of the few people for which he would make an exception as a guest act.
