Thought Taylor Swift was a curse for Travis Kelce and the Chiefs? Think again.

The defending Super Bowl champs are headed back to the big game, where they are taking on the 49ers in a rematch of the 2020 finale.

While the Chiefs are still the Chiefs, their journey to this year's Super Bowl is unlikely. They had a rough midseason stretch, losing five games between Week 8 and Week 16. Kelce, the future Hall of Fame tight end, struggled during those weeks. Naturally, some claimed Swift was to blame.

She gets the last laugh, though, as Kansas City has done it again and clinched its fourth Super Bowl appearance in five years.

From the Grammys to the Eras Tour in Japan to Las Vegas, Swift is in for quite a ride.

Her presumed attendance brings up a big question. Given that she's one of the most famous and recognizable singers right now, has Swift ever performed at the Super Bowl?

Before she began dating Kelce, Swift was rumored the be the Super Bowl 58 halftime performer. The singer denied those rumors, stating she was in no rush to sing at the game. Besides, she's a little busy with the Eras Tour. Her career is arguably at its "peak" right now, and she's made album re-recordings and touring a priority.

The universe had other plans, and Swift will likely be attending the Super Bowl anyway with the Chiefs' berth. Ironic considering she's spent years avoiding performing at the game.

The singer has never performed at the NFL's biggest game. She has, however, taken the stage at a handful of other sporting events.

Her first major "Star-Spangled Banner" performance came in 2002. At 12 years old, she performed ahead of a Pistons vs. 76ers game in Philadelphia.

In 2006, just a month after releasing her first album, Swift headed to Phoenix to perform at Nascar's Checker Auto Parts 500 race. A few weeks later, she sang the national anthem at the Lions-Dolphins game in Detroit. After stopping at Ford Field in June during the Eras Tour, she made sure to shout out that beloved memory.

The singer brought good luck to her home team in 2008. She sang the national anthem ahead of Game 3 of the World Series in Philadelphia. The Phillies beat the Rays in five games to take home the pennant. Guess you could say she's a bit of a mastermind.
