Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce continue to garner headlines, even after more than a year of dating.
Although certain elements of the public have grown weary of the two's romance, many — fans and news outlets alike — still find themselves captivated by the sight of the world's biggest pop star and the world's best tight end together.
Swift hasn't made an appearance at the last two Chiefs games, sparking rumors that the couple's run might be over. Based on her most recent clothing release, though, such a split appears unlikely.
With that, here's what you need to know about Swift's new merchandise, and why many believe the package was inspired by her relationship with Kelce.

Taylor Swift's new merch, explained
Swift and Kelce's relationship has brought a number of Swift supporters to the gridiron. It's also changed Swift and the way she interacts with her fanbase. Her latest merchandise release seems to reflect this phenomenon.
"The Greatest in the League" collection appears to nod to Kelce in multiple ways. For starters, the clothing is largely athletic wear, with sweatpants, crew sweaters and hooded sweatshirts.

The title of the release is arguably the most defining of the Swift-Kelce links. "The Greatest in the League" was one of Swift's most prominent lyrics in "The Alchemy," a 2024 track full of potential references to Kelce.
Here's a look at the full line that includes "The Greatest in the League" mention:
"Beers stickin' to the floor, cheers chanted 'cause they said 'There was no chance trying to be the greatest in the league' Where's the trophy? He just comes running over to me."
The fact that Swift's latest merchandise drop came out on National Boyfriend Day is simply the cherry on top, at least among Swift stans.

Is today National Boyfriend Day?
Today is, in fact, National Boyfriend Day. The holiday isn't really a holiday, having only existed since 2014. Nevertheless, the odds are that your social media feed will be flowing with homages to boyfriends.
Swift's team appears to know this very well. Perhaps that explains why they scheduled her "The Greatest in the League" drop for Oct. 3.
