Super Bowl XLIX: Weather report for Patriots-Seahawks in Glendale image

Super Bowl XLIX between the Patriots and Seahawks will be played in a dome ... but not really.

The NFL announced Sunday that the roof of University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., will be open for the big game. Weather, though, won't be a factor in the desert.

The forecast calls for perfect temperatures in the mid-60s when New England and Seattle kick off at 6:30 p.m. ET. Temps will drop through the night, but they aren't expected to dip below 50 degrees.

More important, there's a zero percent chance of rain in the area Sunday night, and two mph winds will barely be noticed.

The open roof is a change-up for University of Phoenix Stadium, where the Cardinals have had it closed for every home game since 2013, according to The Associated Press
