Super Bowl media day: Highlighting Tuesday's madness in Arizona image

Media day at the Super Bowl is never anything short of a circus, and Tuesday's 2015 version didn't disappoint.

We had reporters in costumes, cheerleaders serving as media and coaches in flip flops before the talkative Seahawks even arrived.

Here are some highlights — if you want to call them highlights — of the ridiculous "media" session ahead of Sunday's big game. (Warning: Not much has to do with the actual game.)

— This guy, apparently sent as media from KNIX country radio, is presented without further comment.

— Pickboy, a media day veteran, again proved players are not the true heroes of Super Bowl week.

— Something was wrong with Patriots coach Bill Belichick. We had flip flops, a debate about stuffed animals and an unprecedented amount of smiling

Things got pretty steamy (and awkward) when Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski was asked to read a line out of an erotic novel that he inspired.

— The Sea Gals (Seattle's cheerleaders) put on a clinic in the art of distracting the enemy.

Seattle's session began shortly after New England's, and it began with a bang (kind of).

— Hey, NFL, why do you even bother making Marshawn Lynch speak at a PODIUM? Here is the predictable result of the Seahawks running back's obligatory session.

Lynch reached his minimum time requirement at the podium before flipping the dueces at the media. He repeated "I'm just here so I won't get fined" for over four minutes, answering each question with the same phrase.

— It turns out Russell Wilson isn't completely predictable when speaking to media ... unless you presumed a selfie stick would make an appearance at the Seahawks quarterback's podium.

Wilson taught us that SN's senior social media editor, Troy Machir, is adamantly against the use (and general existence) of selfie sticks.

— And after all that, Michael Bennett managed to steal the show. The outspoken Seahawks defensive end touched on topics such as his beard, riding a police bike, sex before/after games, Deflate-gate and butts ... and it was all gold
