Super Bowl 52: The best reactions to Justin Timberlake's halftime performance image

Justin Timberlake took to the field for the halftime show of Super Bowl 52, performing some of his biggest hits from his solo career.

After his disastrous effort with Janet Jackson in 2004, Timberlake kept the act rather tame, instead showing off his dance moves with groups of backup dancers and singing with a large brass band.

But the biggest surprise of the night was Timberlake's homage to musician Prince, who hailed from Minneapolis.

The show ended with one of Timberlake's biggest hits to date, "Can't Stop the Feeling," and streamers coming down from the rafters.

Naturally, Twitter voiced its opinion of the show, and the reactions varied from excitement to boredom.

And the city of Minneapolis got into the act with a tribute to the late Prince.
