Stephen A. Smith is not a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. The ESPN personality has made that clear during his time in the spotlight. He has routinely poked fun at them on his show, "First Take," and elsewhere.

But Smith was willing to team up with the Cowboys for some good-natured fun for the release of the team's 2022 schedule.

Smith starred in the schedule release video produced by the team. Playing himself, he began by throwing his usual slew of insults at the Cowboys. He also used some of his signature quotes from "First Take," including "Stay off the weed!"

But then team owner and general manager Jerry Jones managed to flip the script. He distorted Smith's words to the point that Smith was heard saying that the Cowboys would win the  "2022 season championship."

This gag was well-conceived by the Cowboys, and Smith hammed it up just enough to make everything work.

Of course, Dallas wasn't the only team to produced a schedule release video. The Chargers released their schedule with an anime theme, the Broncos called on Peyton Manning to star in theirs, and the Panthers threw it back to the '90s to announce their schedule.

As usual, the NFL's best and brightest video content creators shined during the schedule release. Still, as good as some of the videos were Thursday, none can top the Rams' "On The Clock" trailer ahead of the 2022 NFL Draft.
