Stephen A. Smith suggests racial motives regarding Chip Kelly's roster moves image

The Eagles have been busy the past few days, and everyone is taking notice.

One of those people is ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith. On "First Take," Smith and counterpart Skip Bayless point out that there seems to be some rather interesting moves happening regarding the Eagles roster. There are some people questioning why LeSean McCoy, DeSean Jackson, and Jeremy Maclin have, in one way or another, departed from the team. Meanwhile, controversial Riley Cooper is still on the roster.

Smith throws out the idea that it could possibly have to do with race.

"Chip Kelly makes decisions over the last couple of years that dare I say leave a few brothers feeling uncomfortable," Smith said. "The culture is what resonates with me more profoundly."

Kelly's moves have had other people scratching their heads in confusion about which direction the team seems to be going. In true Smith fashion, he's just the most vocal about it. Smith even goes on to ask if Cooper is the coach's "kind of guy."

Only time will tell if there is a method to Kelly's madness.
