Steelers vs. Colts final score, results: Indianapolis routs Pittsburgh to remain in AFC playoff picture image

Double the horseshoes on the back of the helmet, double the luck. The Colts snapped their eight-game losing streak to the Steelers, winning the crucial AFC game 30-13.

The Steelers seemed to have control of the game early on. Indianapolis missed its first field goal and the Steelers turned the short field position into six. Then, Pittsburgh blocked a punt that resulted in its second touchdown. But that was it. The Colts scored 30 unanswered points.

Indianapolis forced three turnovers, two coming off Mitch Trubisky interceptions, but only the fumble resulted in a touchdown. Either way, it was all about momentum for the home team, which recorded its 19th straight game with a takeaway.

Gardner Minshew had himself a night, passing for 215 yards and three touchdowns. The Colts added 170 yards on the ground — despite losing Zack Moss to an injury early in the game — compared to 74 from the Steelers, who still had a rough night through the air. Trubisky, in his third game under center, passed for 164 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. On Pittsburgh's final two drives, the Steelers turned to Mason Rudolph for his first snaps in an NFL game since 2021. The eight Steelers penalties didn't help, as it cost Pittsburgh 101 yards.

Saturday's defeat marked the third straight loss for the Steelers, putting them at 7-7. And right now, that's enough to be eliminated them from the playoffs, as it dropped them to 11th place in the AFC. Indianapolis moved up to seventh at 8-6.
