Seahawks fans give team sendoff at airport for Super Bowl XLIX image

Seattle is ready for Super Bowl XLIX thanks to a huge crowd sending them off at SeaTac airport on Sunday.

The team gathered on buses and drove to their planes as fans lined the streets and cheered them on. Players, news organizations and fans all posted photos of the event on to social media showing the size of the turnout.

It's par for public perception of the Seahawks fans -- the 12s -- whose intense loyalty is known around the league (for better or for worse).

Once the team arrived some of the players took a moment to hang with the fans, including Richard Sherman. 

Seattle takes on New England on Feb. 1 at 6:30 p.m. on NBC.
