No matter how good or bad Sammie Coates did at the NFL Combine, he had at least one person with him every step of the way.

The former Auburn receiver wore custom cleats to honor 12-year-old Kenzie Ray, a fan he became acquainted with in 2013 after she attended a football game. Coates is sponsored by Under Armor and the company arranged for David Zambrana, cleats customizer, to come to the Combine and make its athletes stand out.

Coates knew he wanted something special to honor his friend.
