Roddy White details questionable police encounter: 'I could've died' image

Roddy White got two traffic tickets Wednesday after being pulled over, one for speeding and one for expired tags. But the tickets aren't why the former Falcons wide receiver is bothered by the encounter.

White, 35 and still an NFL free agent after Atlanta let him go in March, said he plans to report the DeKalb County (East Atlanta, Ga.) police officer who, according to White, unnecessarily grabbed his gun as he approached White's vehicle.

Here's what White had to say via Twitter on Wednesday afternoon.

The Dekalb County Police Department did not immediately respond to Perform Media's inquiry about the events.

White, selected by the Falcons in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft, played 11 seasons in Atlanta, where he reached four Pro Bowls and one All-Pro selection. He technically is not (yet) retired.
