The Super Bowl was rough on the Seahawks in many ways, but at least two of the team's top players who played through injuries in the loss will avoid the operating room.

Cornerback Richard Sherman and safety Kam Chancellor will be able to rehab their injuries without surgery, Seattle coach Pete Carroll announced at the NFL Combine on Friday.

Sherman hurt his left elbow during the first quarter of the NFC championship against Green Bay. He came back into the game and went on to play in Super Bowl XLIX, but later MRIs revealed he had torn ligaments in his elbow. Rumors began to swirl that he would undergo Tommy John surgery, but Sherman decided against it. Now Carroll claims it won't be necessary at all.

Chancellor played in the Super Bowl despite tearing his MCL during a practice leading up to the game. He is expected to be ready for the 2015 season with the proper rehab.

Safety Earl Thomas and cornerback Jeremy Lane aren't so lucky. Thomas will have surgery on his torn labrum. Lane already had surgery on his arm to repair a compound fracture he suffered after after an interception early in the Super Bowl. He will now have surgery on his knee, which he hurt on the same play.
