Darrelle Revis vs. Richard Sherman just turned into Antonio Cromartie vs. Richard Sherman.

Cromartie, who reunited with Revis as fellow Jets starting cornerbacks this offseason, says Sherman just isn't as good as Revis. Or any other elite NFL corner, for that matter. Cromartie's biggest issue? That Sherman stays on one side of the field rather than always matching up with the opponent's most talented wideout.

"Go follow the No. 1 receiver," Cromartie advised Sherman in an interview with Sirius XM NFL Radio on Tuesday. "Follow him around for a whole entire game and let's see what you can do. Darrelle Revis has done that his whole career. I've done that. Patrick Peterson has done it. Joe Haden has done it. He is the only defensive back that hasn't.

"If you want to label yourself as the No. 1 corner, the best corner in the NFL, follow the best guy on every single team."

Before re-signing with the Jets, Cromartie started opposite Peterson for the Cardinals — division rivals of Sherman's Seahawks.

According to Cromartie, Sherman is also just more a product of a his talented supporting cast in Seattle's secondary — namely Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor.

"Go play in a defense where you don't have two All-Pro safeties," Cromartie said. "That's what I would tell him."

Per Pro Football Focus, the Broncos' Chris Harris Jr. and the Colts' Vontae Davis were the two best corners in the NFL in 2014, with Sherman third and Revis fourth, while with the Patriots. Haden was No. 23, Cromartie was No. 45 and Peterson was tied for No. 69.

However, the last time Revis had a healthy season with the Jets, he was the league's top-rated corner in 2011.

While the Sherman vs. Revis debate rages on, it's clear Cromartie has made up his mind. While he faced Sherman's team twice in Arizona, the Jets do not play Seattle in '15.
