Report: Browns hosting Josh McCown image

The Browns will reportedly host free-agent quarterback Josh McCown in Cleveland this week, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported  Tuesday.

According to an NFL source, McCown will spend Tuesday and Wednesday with the Browns. The team was previously rumored to bring the veteran quarterback to Cleveland for a visit.

McCown was  released  by the Buccaneers on Feb. 11 with one year remaining on his two-year contract.

He visited with the Bills last week and met with officials from the Bears and Jets at last week's NFL Scouting Combine. However, McCown has yet to receive any offers.

If the Browns reach a deal with McCown, he is expected to serve as a mentor to Johnny Manziel.

McCown, 35, started 11 of 16 games last season, including the last eight, and finished 1-10 for Tampa Bay. He threw 11 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.
