Could the NFL return to Hawaii?

The Rams and Cowboys are in discussions to make that happen. According to an ESPN report, the two teams are currently talking about holding a preseason game in the Aloha State

An NFL game hasn't been played in Hawaii since the Pro Bowl in 2015, but Los Angeles has been working to bring an exhibition contest back since November. At that time, however, there was no opponent.

But, the 2019 regular-season schedule could hinder the chances of making this happen. Both teams are reluctant to hold joint practices since they will be meeting later in the year, the report says. However, they do have the option of landing in Hawaii early for separate practices.

Under owner and general manager Jerry Jones, Dallas has played preseason games in Mexico, Tokyo, Toronto and London.

If the parties can come to an agreement, this will be the first preseason game played at Aloha Stadium since 1976.

The Rams are partnering with the Hawaii Tourism Authority for the matchup, which has a target date of Aug. 17.
