The Raiders have found their new general manager.

The team announced Monday it hired NFL Network draft analyst Mike Mayock as its general manager.

Mayock, 60, recently emerged as a strong candidate for the vacant position and had interviewed with the team earlier. He was also in attendance for Sunday's 35-3 loss to the Chiefs at Kansas City.

Raiders coach Jon Gruden spoke briefly about Maycock after the game, saying he looks forward to the prospect of working with him.

"He loves it," Gruden said, per ESPN. "He’s a passionate, passionate personnel man. He’s done it for a long time. I know he’s had opportunities to get back into the NFL as a general manager and we’ll see what happens. We’ll see how the dust settles"

The hire is the latest change in Gruden’s first season back with Oakland after the team traded veterans Khalil Mack and Amari Cooper this season and fired GM Reggie McKenzie earlier this month.

The Raiders finished the season 4-12 and were eliminated early from playoff contention.
