ESPN+ breaks down Eli Manning's performance from the Giants' win over the 49ers Monday night, and if that doesn't sound like must-see TV, consider this — the analyst critiquing the quarterback's game is big brother Peyton Manning.
ESPN+, a subscription package, sent out a clip from the show "Detail," featuring Peyton giving credit to Eli for a 24-yard pass play to Saquon Barkley.
“I know it is a short throw,” Peyton says in describing the play. “And, I know you are going to say, ‘He is kissing his butt, because he is related to [him.]’ I don’t care if this was Bob Avellini, Steve Fuller or Casey Weldon making this throw — guys that I’m not related to — this is a good throw. This is a side-arm throw, negotiating the defender.
"Look at the little side-arm off-balance throw. If this ball gets batted or is incomplete, it will just make you sick. Great job, retreating, making this little side-arm, flip throw to Barkley. This is a runner’s ball. Hit it to him, where he can keep running.”

Kudos to Peyton for getting a mention of former Bears QB Avellini in there. All he needed was an "Omaha!" or two to spice up the video.
In all seriousness, Eli had one of his better games of the season in the victory, throwing three touchdown passes and leading the winning drive late in the game.
The Giants QB told ESPN he did not plan to watch the episode.
“I haven’t seen any of them yet and I doubt I’ll watch this one either,” Manning said. “I’m happy he is staying busy and has something to do. He asked a few questions. I can’t give away too many secrets. He was at the game and had some pretty good insights. He is a pretty smart guy. I hope he’ll go easy on me.”
