Patriots cornerback Jonathan Jones won't be fined for his Week 4 helmet-to-helmet hit on Bills quarterback Josh Allen.

Jones drew a penalty for unnecessary roughness after making contact with the second-year signal-caller on a scramble in New England's 16-10 win, and Allen was forced to leave the contest in the fourth quarter before being placed in concussion protocol.

After reviewing the play, the NFL determined Jones turned his shoulder during the hit and Allen wasn't a defenseless runner, according to NFL.com.

Jones is in his fourth season with the Patriots and has not been fined in his professional career.

He reached out to Allen earlier this week and said his hit on the quarterback was "just football," according to USA Today.

Allen practiced with the Bills on a limited basis Wednesday and Thursday and was a full participant Friday, according to the team's website. He has been cleared to play against the Titans in Week 5 and is expected to start.

Jones, on the other hand, will travel with the Patriots to face the Redskins on Sunday.
