Is this Santa Claus? No, this is Patrick.
The Week 16 Rams-Broncos matchup got the Nickelodeon broadcast treatment, with the Christmas day matchup ending in a Broncos drubbing at the hands of L.A. One famed Nickelodeon character had an opportunity to leave his mark, too.
While the broadcast booth featured Noah Eagle on play-by-play and Nate Burleson on color commentary, the duo was joined by Patrick Star of "SpongeBob Squarepants" fame. Patrick had the opportunity to grill Russell Wilson like a Krabby Patty, and he took it.
Patrick just happened to be on commentary for a Wilson INT — one of three on the day in an abysmal performance for the Broncos passer — and took the opportunity to take a bit of a shot at Wilson.
Patrick Star really has a future as a play-by-play announcer. 🤩

"That's called an intraception," Star says. "That's not what he wanted to cook."

Of course, the anthropomorphic starfish is referencing the famed "Let Russ Cook" catchphrase. Instead, he cooked the passer.
Wilson finished the game 15-of-27 passing with three interceptions, 214 yards and a touchdown, continuing his stunning downward spiral in his first season in Denver. The Broncos even had another sideline blowup today, but the situation seemed to be defused by Wilson.

On the other side of the field, Rams passer Baker Mayfield earned Nickelodon's MVP award — the NVP — for his efforts in the game, which turned out to be a lopsided 51-14 win for L.A.
The Broncos head into Week 17 at 4-11, with Patrick's comments certainly cementing rock bottom. Or, in this case, Bikini Bottom.
