The Carolina Panthers will submit to the NFL for review video of another questionable hit on quarterback Cam Newton.

Panthers coach Ron Rivera said Monday there was one hit "of concern" during Carolina's 13-10 victory over the Los Angeles Rams.

While Rivera didn't say to which specific play he was referring, Newton was subject to multiple shots from the Rams. He took vicious shots to the shoulders and head area on separate sacks by Rams safety Mark Barron and defensive tackle Aaron Donald.

Newton has taken multiple blows to the head and knees this season, most of which have not been penalized during the game. Players have been fined for illegal hits on Newton days later.

Newton was sacked five times by the Rams. Even though the Panthers will submit video for a hit that was not flagged, Rivera did laud the officials in Sunday's win.

"It’s tough for them to judge things as they happen at full speed and angles and things like that," Rivera said. "But there was one of concern, and we’ll talk about that and see what the league has to say and go from there.

"Other than that, I think they handled it well. There were a lot of things that they missed on both sides, a lot of things they got right on both sides. That’s the nature of the game and it happens. Like I said, just one of concern and we’ll see if they agree or disagree."
