The Packers announced Thursday the staff has added two new coaches, while five received new titles.

Mike Solari joins the Packers as the new assistant offensive line coach. Jerry Montgomery will be the new defensive front assistant. Ron Zook, Jason Simmons, Edgar Bennett and Alex Van Pelt were retained.

McCarthy, who has been calling plays since taking over as head coach in 2006, was one of less than a dozen head coaches who called their team’s plays on offense or defense last season.

McCarthy has led the Packers to five NFC North titles and guided the Packers to top-10 finishes in scoring each of the past seven seasons (2007-13), joining New England as the only other team to accomplish the feat. The team’s 3,113 points from 2007-13 are the most in franchise history over a seven-year span.
