Orlando Scandrick got was he was waiting for after skipping voluntary workouts this offseason.
The Cowboys and their veteran cornerback have agreed to terms on a contract extension, the team announced Friday.

The new deal will boost Scandrick's total haul to $20 million and keep him in Dallas through the 2019 season. He was due to make $1.5 million this year, but will now receive an average of $4 million per year over the length of the deal. Scandrick had four years left on his old contract; the new deal adds a fifth season and increases his total compensation by $9.5 million in that span.
Scandrick, 28, has played his entire eight-year career in Dallas. He has started 29 games over the last two seasons, breaking up 21 passes and intercepting four.
