Odell Beckham Jr. will be at the Browns' mandatory minicamp next week.
At least that's what the star wide receiver said on Instagram.
After a fan commented on a photo saying, “cut out the crap and get to camp.’’ Beckham replied, “I’ll be there on the 3rd, u coming?’’
Beckham recently missed the bulk of voluntary OTAs after participating in only one day of nine. He also skipped the team's voluntary three-day minicamp.
But he is now expected to be in attendance when players report to camp Monday. Cleveland's three-day session will begin Tuesday.
Coach Freddie Kitchens said the newly minted Browns receiver missed "a lot" when it comes to learning the offense. But he didn't hold it against him.
"I'd rather him be here. He's not here. It's voluntary," Kitchens said Thursday. "That's what the word voluntary means. He can decide to come or he can't.
"But under no circumstance am I going to say that I'm pissed off at Odell for not being here. He'll be ready to play and ultimately that's the only thing I want, for him to be ready to play when we start kicking off in September and he will be — I promise you."
