Giants wideout Odell Beckham Jr., the team's first-round pick in 2014, became the fastest to 3,500 receiving yards during Monday's 21-20 victory over the Bengals.

It's not so much the mark, which is rather arbitrary, but more a tribute to Beckham's productivity given the Hall of Famer he surpassed.

Playing in his 36th game, Beckham broke Chargers legend Lance Alworth's mark of reaching 3,500 yards in 37 AFL games from 1962 to 1964.

Beckham finished Monday with 10 catches for 97 yards and a touchdown to give him 54 receptions, 773 yards and six touchdowns in nine games this season.

Afterward, he gave credit to an unusual source: UFC star Conor McGregor.

“I wanted some late inspiration so I went to the UFC fight the other night to see Conor McGregor," Beckham said (via the New York Post). “He believes so much in himself and he backs up everything he says. I like to see other (athletes) in their environment, like when I go to the U.S. Open tennis. I like to other athletes in their zone."

Beckham, 24, entered the season with the most receiving yards in his first two seasons: 2,755 yards despite missing five games in that span.

Oh, and he does a pretty Michael Jackson tribute to boot.
