Odell Beckham Jr. says he was fined $18,000 by the NFL for wearing cleats in honor of beloved NBA broadcaster Craig Sager, who died Dec. 15.

The New York Giants wide receiver, who wore the shoes during the Giants' Week 15 matchup against the Detroit Lions, and later auctioned them off for charity, revealed the fine in a reply to an Instagram post from Washington Redskins receiver DeSean Jackson.

"I got fined 18k for Craig Sager cleats that were auction off the cleats to the highest bidder and donating the proceeds to his cancer research," Beckham wrote.

Jackson said he was fined by the NFL for wearing a special edition pair of his DJX cleats: "18k like it's nothing to them, no warning to take them off or anything noTHING!"

The NFL allowed players to wear tribute cleats for charity in Week 13, but not during any other games.

Beckham has already been fined five times this season, amounting to more than $100,000.
