Ryan Tannehill may have played his last game with the Dolphins.
The 30-year-old quarterback is unlikely to be back with Miami and it will explore trading him this offseason, according to a report from the Miami Herald. Tannehill has spent all seven of his NFL seasons with the team.
Tannehill dealt with injuries and was inconsistent this season. He completed 64.2 percent of his passes while tallying 17 touchdowns and nine interceptions in 11 games. The Dolphins tallied a 5-6 record in his starts.
Tannehill said before Miami’s Week 17 loss to the Bills he was hoping to remain with the team.
“I have a lot of belief in myself,” Tannehill said at the time. “I want to be here and finish my career here. I love this organization. I love competing with the guys on this team. I’ve been here my whole career and love it in South Florida. I’d love to be here.”
The Dolphins finished 2018 with a 7-9 record and missed the playoffs for a second straight year. They fired coach Adam Gase after three seasons earlier this week.
