NFL trade news: Eagles add running back, acquire Jordan Howard from Bears image

The Eagles have added a running back.

Philadelphia has acquired Jordan Howard from the Bears in exchange for a late 2020 draft choice, the team announced Thursday.

The 24-year-old tallied 935 rushing yards and nine touchdowns in 16 games for Chicago in 2018. He also caught 20 passes for 145 yards.

Howard was originally selected by the Bears out of Indiana in the fifth round of the 2016 draft. He has rushed for 1,000 or more yards in two of his first three NFL seasons and totaled 25 career scores.

Howard appears set to become a featured back for the Eagles in 2019. Meanwhile, the Bears have Tarik Cohen and Mike Davis on their depth chart.
