Kyle Shanahan hasn't shied away from praising quarterback Nick Mullens' sensational start Thursday.
The 49ers coach dubbed the team's Week 9 play-caller their "secret weapon," but will he be unleashed against the Giants in San Francisco's Week 10 matchup? Shanahan won't say.
He told reporters Friday he's not ready to announce his decision.
“Definitely will consider it,” Shanahan told reporters. “Definitely not thinking about that right now. Our whole team played very well. Nick definitely did. I thought our guys up front played well and I thought the entire offense did. I thought the defense played their tails off. I thought the pass rush was there. I thought we tackled well, thought our punter and kicker did well so it was a very good all-around win.”
No decision yet on Week 10 starting QB. Players have 4 days of rest before returning to facility. Will get decision out then

Mullens finished 16-of-22 passing for 262 yards and three touchdowns in the 49ers' 34-3 win over the Raiders on Thursday at Levi's Stadium. He took the place of an injured C.J. Beathard (wrist), who took the place of starter Jimmy Garoppolo (knee).
The timeline for Beathard's return in unclear. He was listed as questionable heading into the contest versus Oakland, and was reportedly serving as the backup quarterback.
San Francisco will have a few extra days to prepare for its next matchup when it welcomes New York on Nov. 12.
