Eli Manning says he has not thought about the prospect that he could play his final game for the New York Giants on Sunday.
Manning turns 38 next week, an age when most quarterbacks not named Tom Brady have already retired.
There has been talk the Giants might bring the veteran back for one more year, but it remains to be seen whether he will return.
When asked if it has contemplated that he may be about to end his Giants career with a clash against the Dallas Cowboys, Manning replied: "No. Just worried about this game and finishing this season and going out there and playing hard."
Manning pointed out he dealt with the same situation last year.
"We'll handle all that after the season," Manning said. "I didn’t know last year either … I think when you get to year 15, these things come up."
If Sunday's game at MetLife Stadium is Manning's final game with the Giants, do not expect any pre-game or video tributes to one of the franchise's greatest quarterbacks.
Coach Pat Shurmur said: "I think that’s an in-game thing that happens when it happens. We’re trying to win the game, and Eli’s our quarterback."
