Dallas Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee expects to be back on the field for the 2019 NFL season.
The 32-year-old and two-time Pro Bowler was reportedly considering retiring in the offseason.
However, Lee told 247Sports on Wednesday that he plans "on playing next year".
Lee struggled with injuries throughout 2018 and was limited to just seven regular-season games, recording 30 total tackles.
He also tallied seven combined tackles in Dallas' two playoff matchups.
Lee, who is set to make $7million next season, could be used in a reserve role in 2019. But, Cowboys chief operating officer Stephen Jones said the team wants him on the roster.
"What a special player he is," Jones said. "We want him back. I think he's a leader on this football team."
Dallas selected Lee in the second round of the 2010 draft and he has spent his entire career with the franchise. He has made two Pro Bowls during his nine NFL seasons.
The Cowboys finished last season with a 10-6 record and advanced to the divisional round of the playoffs, where they fell to the Los Angeles Rams.
