The Saints continued their outgoing shipment of Pro Bowl players after trading offensive lineman Ben Grubbs to the Chiefs for a fifth-round pick, ESPN reported.

Grubbs, the Ravens' first-round pick in the 2007 NFL Draft, spent the last three seasons in New Orleans. He made the Pro Bowl in 2013 after signing a five-year, $36 million free agent deal.

Grubbs’ first Pro Bowl selection was in 2011 as a Raven. He should bolster a Chiefs offensive line that allowed the seventh-most sacks (49) in the NFL last season.

According to NOLA.com, the Saints will have $21.5 million of dead money on the books in 2015 after erasing Grubbs, tight end Jimmy Graham and linebacker Curtis Lofton from the roster.

The Saints are also closing in on a deal for Brandon Browner, sources told Pro Football Talk and could also be shopping Kenny Stills.
