The Packers signed pending free-agent wide receiver Randall Cobb to a four-year, $40 million deal on Saturday, according to ESPN.

Cobb's deal will include $17 million guaranteed per Ian Rapoport of NFL.com. Rapoport also reported Cobb had six or seven offers on the table, but he chose Green Bay over a more lucrative contract.

Cobb, 24, was set to become one of the hottest commodities on the open market after catching 91 passes for 1,287 yards and 12 touchdowns last season. He and fellow wide receiver Jordy Nelson give Pro Bowl quarterback Aaron Rodgers one of the most formidable one-two punches in the league.

Now that Cobb has re-signed, Jeremy Maclin will be the top receiver on the market. The Eagles remain the favorites to retain his services, but the Texans, Raiders and Jaguars have also expressed interest. Torrey Smith is another valued receiver, and reportedly is sought by the 49ers.
