The Browns hold the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. The team doesn’t appear to be trading out of that spot.
Browns general manager John Dorsey told NFL Network the team hasn’t received any “legitimate trade offers” for the top overall pick. Dorsey declined to say who the team was considering drafting.
Had a brief convo with @Browns GM John Dorsey. No legit trade offers for No.1 pick. As for who that No.1 pick will be? “I haven’t even told my wife.” 🤔 @nflnetwork

Cleveland is expected to select a quarterback with the pick. The team has recently been tied to former Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield, who won the 2017 Heisman trophy. Cleveland could also take Wyoming’s Josh Allen, USC's Sam Darnold or UCLA’s Josh Rosen. Cleveland also holds the draft’s fourth overall selection.

The Browns failed to win a game in 2017. Rookie DeShone Kizer started 15 games at quarterback, throwing 11 touchdowns and 22 interceptions. He was traded to the Packers in early March for cornerback Damarious Randall. Cleveland also dealt backup Cody Kessler to the Jaguars three weeks later.
They eventually acquired Tyrod Taylor from Buffalo and they expect him to start the first few weeks of the season as they get their rookie quarterback ready to play.
The Browns haven’t made the playoffs since 2002.
