Byron Jones beats world broad jump record at NFL Combine image

Olympic and world records do not apply to the NFL Combine, and that's a good thing for track and field stars because UConn cornerback Byron Jones would have put someone out of a job.

The world record for the broad jump is 12-2, set by Norwegian Arne Tvervaag in Nov. 11, 1968.

On Monday morning, Jones' recorded a broad jump of 12-3.

But it wasn't just the broad jump that Jones annihilated. Check out his standing vertical.

Jones'' standing vertical checked in a 44.5 inches. By comparison, the best standing vertical in NBA Draft Combine history was the 40.5 inch jump recorded by Memphis' D.J. Stephens in 2013.
