Jets tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins appeared to score his second touchdown of Sunday's game against the Patriots in the fourth quarter, but officials overturned the call upon replay review, much to the dismay of NFL fans.

Not only did the officials say Seferian-Jenkins did not score, but they also ruled that he fumbled the football out of bounds for a touchback giving the ball back to the Patriots.

Reaction to Austin Seferian-Jenkins call
There is no way that was a fumble. How do you botch a replay call that badly? #patsjets

The NFL. When a catch isn't a catch, and possession after a tackle equals a fumble.

Wow, Jets just got completely hosed. Replay should have no business taking that TD off the board. Works out for the Pats, but thats garbage

NFL is already writing the apology to the Jets after that reversal.

There has been a lot more reaction to the play, but clearly people weren't happy with how the officials made their decision. Most of the anger didn't come from the fact that they ruled it a non-touchdown, but more so because they said Jenkins fumbled the ball.
Watching the replay, Jenkins did lose control of the ball, but the ball never actually hit the ground. When Seferian-Jenkins went down, he had the ball in his hands.
Expect this play to be discussed all week.
UPDATE: Jets players have now reacted the call, and they are upset and confused.

Former Vice President of Officiating Mike Pereira also said when the play was being reviewed that he didn't believe there was enough to overturn the touchdown call. We'll still waiting for further explanation of the decision.
