Super Bowl officials get call wrong on Patriots punt image

Just a few minutes into Super Bowl XLIX, we already had an instance of bungled officiating.

New England was forced to punt on fourth-and-6 on its first possession. Seattle's Jeron Johnson dived into punter Ryan Allen but was only flagged for running into the kicker.

After some video review, Fox Sports contributor Mike Pereira, a former NFL VP of officiating, deemed it to be worth a 15-yard penalty.

That would have given the Patriots a first down. New England declined the penalty and Seattle took possession.
