Myles Garrett blocked field goal: Browns star jumps clear over Colts' O-line in freakish first half image

Myles Garrett is a freak of nature. The Browns defensive end has made a career terrorizing quarterbacks and offenses around the league.

Who knew a man of his athleticism would also be effective on special teams.

Garrett made a highlight reel play on Sunday, showing off his hops to block a field goal in the second quarter of the Browns game against the Colts.

The defensive end leapt up and over the offensive line, and then got his hands up to block the attempt from Colts kicker Matt Gay, denying Indy of three points. The Browns used that field position to kick a field goal shortly after.

Not all jumps like the one Garrett pulled off are allowed in the NFL, but Garrett executed the move to perfection. If he had landed on any Colts players when he jumped, he would have been flagged for leaping, giving Indianapolis 15 yards and an automatic first down. However, he went through the pile unscathed, making it perfectly legal.

The blocked field goal was one of many Garrett highlights from the first half. The four-time Pro Bowler forced two fumbles, including a strip sack for a TD, while racking up two sacks and six tackles in the first 30 minutes.

In the first quarter, Garrett got to Colts QB Gardner Minshew, knocking the ball out of his hands for the turnover. Five plays later, the offense found the end zone for six points.

With under two minutes to go in the first half, Garrett came through again for Cleveland. Indianapolis had the ball deep into its own territory, and a sack on first down pushed the offense back to the six-yard line.

The next play, Garrett got around not one, but two blockers, knocked the ball again out of Minshew's hands and a recovery by his teammate Tony Fields III gave the Browns the defensive score.

Garrett has been sensational this season for the Browns. He entered the Week 7 matchup top 10 in the league in sacks (5.5), and is going to climb up that list with his strong performance against the Colts.

Garrett went viral for posting a 41-inch during the NFL Draft combine in 2017 to complement his 4.64 40-yard dash.

At 6-4, 272 pounds, that isn't normal.
