Mark Sanchez wants to clear the air on comments he made about Tim Tebow shortly after the Eagles signed his former Jets teammate in April.
Sanchez said the team brought Tebow in because "we needed another guy to throw" while projected starter Sam Bradford recovered from a knee injury. It began to re-ignite rumors of tension between the two.

"I think that kind of came off the wrong way," Sanchez told reporters last week. "At least it was not exactly what I intended to say. It took on a life of its own. Listen, everybody's here for a reason. We're all working hard, trying to make each other better. Coach wanted specific guys here for specific reasons. That's up to coach. We just plug in and play."
Sanchez and Tebow last played together in New York during the 2012 season, when Tebow took snaps in goal-line situations. Tebow was cut after that season, and Sanchez left a year later.
"We had that relationship for a year," Tebow said. "I think it's deeper, it's more evolved. I think it's a good relationship. I have a lot of respect for him. I think you just try to make each other better."
