Mark Sanchez appears to have played his last down.
According to the New York Post, the veteran quarterback is expected to retire from the NFL and take a college football analyst job at ESPN.
The Post noted Sanchez will join Kevin Negandhi and Jonathan Vilma on ESPN’s lead college football studio show. A spot was left vacant when Mack Brown left to coach North Carolina.
Sanchez, 32, was initially selected out of USC by the Jets with the fifth-overall pick of the 2009 draft and bounced around the NFL after a five-year stint in New York. He spent time with the Eagles, Bears, Cowboys and, most recently, the Redskins.
He played in just two games for Washington last season, going 19 for 35 for 138 yards with no touchdowns and three interceptions.
However, he had success early on in his career and even made it to the AFC championship in each of his first two seasons.
But Sanchez will likely be most remembered for the infamous "Butt Fumble" against the Patriots on Thanksgiving in 2012.
Sanchez made more than $50 million in his NFL career which included 86 touchdown passes and 89 interceptions.
