The Ravens have hired a new offensive coordinator.

Former Bears coach Marc Trestman will be joining the Ravens on the sidelines in 2015, the team announced Tuesday.

He'll replace Gary Kubiak, who was hired Monday as the Broncos' head coach.

The Bears fired Trestman at the end of December. Chicago announced John Fox as its new head coach on Jan. 16.

Trestman went 13-19 in two seasons with the Bears. He coached the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League from 2008-12.

Kubiak's offense had to quickly switch focus when Ray Rice was dismissed from the team and Justin Forsett, whose career was underwhelming at that point, was made the feature back. It turned out well, as Forsett had a breakout year and the Ravens rode him and Joe Flacco to playoffs.

Now, Trestman gets a chance to pick up where Kubiak left off. Trestman used Bears running back Matt Forte often in the passing game. In fact, he led all running backs in receptions. Trestman will get an upgrade at quarterback, though, with Flacco over troubled Jay Cutler.
