The Le'Veon Bell bomb has dropped amid reports the NFL star is set to join the New York Jets.

Free-agent running back Bell is closing in on a deal with the Jets, ending months of speculation as to where the star would land following his departure from the Pittsburgh Steelers.

According to reports, Bell has agreed a four year, $52.5million contract to move to New York.

Bell then tweeted, which seemingly confirmed the move.

"I'm back in the green baby, let's get it," the three-time Pro Bowler wrote via Twitter.

The 27-year-old was selected by the Steelers in the second round of the 2013 draft and has spent his entire career in Pittsburgh.

However, he has been vocal about his unhappiness since he was franchise tagged for the second straight year last offseason and sat out all 2018 amid his contract dispute.

He last played 15 regular-season games in 2017 and made an appearance in the team's lone playoff fixture that campaign.
