LeSean McCoy has Bills fans and fantasy owners waiting with bated breath as they study the status of his gimpy hamstring.

The star running back, who is second in the NFL with 587 yards rushing this season, also has seven total touchdowns (six rushing, one receiving). But McCoy left Wednesday's practice with a hamstring injury, and he was unable to practice Thursday.

Bills coach Rex Ryan said Thursday that he is "hopeful" McCoy will play Sunday against the Dolphins. According to ESPN, Ryan also said McCoy's injury was not "full blown".

McCoy also suffered a hamstring injury last season that forced him to miss the last three weeks of the preseason.

Players often need to get at least one full session of practice in during the week before playing, but McCoy — if he's feeling up to it Sunday morning — would certainly be allowed to suit up regardless.
